1st gen CRX SI motor swap

1st gen CRX SI motor swap
So, I am buying this 86 CRX SI off some guy for about 600 dollars...missing a passenger mirror and a drivers door lock, sounded like a cheap fix and good deal for me. Only problem i have is the weak 91 HP output that thing would be putting out. The car is bone stock, so i was thinking about dropping a motor swap. Seeing as how the SI is fuel injected not carburated i figured it would be easier than swapping into a EF swap or something. I was wondering if anyone had some advice on what swap would be best. Keep in mind im 17 yrs old and fairly broke (or i woulda bought a 88+ lol) so what would be an easy...and semi affordable swap. Maybe a ZC or something? i was thinking a b16 .... but i heard thats a really hard swap to a first gen. Any advice for a newbie plz? I live in Washington if that helps at all.

one more add on i dont want the thing to be all go, it will be a daily driver, and i will be modding the interior and exterior also, it wont just be engine...basically i want to create one of the cleanest 1st gen rex's around my town...but i dont want it to be all show and no go...which is what it would be with that stock SI engine. thanks to anyone for givin feed back

the easiest & cheapest swap will be the DOHC D16A1 from 86-87 (88-89 would work but more wiring problems) Integra or the JDM brown valve cover ZC (basically same as D16A1, but more hp) - for either, you will need the 86-89 Integra transmission, axles, front knuckles/hubs and shift linkage - you will need the 86-87 Integra PG7 M/T ECU - with those parts, everything will bolt right in and wiring will plug right in

zc is 900 with tranny, ecu, shift linkage, etc www.speedtechracing.com click on products, jdm used motors, honda, and then on the bottom, zc. it tells what's all included. after that, you'll want a good intake and header, for about 200-400, depending on brand (go with dc sport header) and installation, just get new exhaust, header, 2 resinators, high flow cat, and a good gooke pipe, that'll run close to 400 on top of the header (with labor), and it'll be prolly 150-160 hp for about less than 1700, if you do it yourself. good luck

those engines shipped are usually around $750 - the rest of the stuff, you can get from your local junkyard, or better yet, buy a used non-running 86-87 Integra and strip it for parts

Note: Dodge Vipers are in the 7.0-7.5 pounds per horsepower range.
It can be done though, I'd give it $10k, plus or minus.
