What's a CEL?

crzy000 10-23-2005 11:28 AM

cel is when you have and engine code that show you what kind of problem you are getting.

Get a helms manual to troubleshoot the code. There is either a wiring problem, or your ICM is malfunctioning.

thank's Schmoo, I think I will have to get that helms manual. At the mean time where do you think I should start with the ignition problem?

What kind of ignition problem is it? Is it a misfire? Is it a ICM malfunction?

If you could pinpoint what area of the ignition system it says is faulty, it would be easier to determine where to start.

So in essence, what is the description of the code?

crzy000 10-23-2005 09:23 PM

okay guys I finally got the cell code out. But I'm still having problem with the v-tec not turning on. Instead I'm having white smoke now when I pound my car. Man the car is just giving me problem one after another. I think I should just remove the e-management. Anyone have any picture on how to hook up the v-tec switch and solenoid on a obd0 wiring harness. This way I can remove the boomslang conversion wiring harness.

White smoke could be a leaking head gasket. I would fix that next before you pound on your car again.

crzy000 10-23-2005 10:09 PM

is there anyway that it could be the rings? because I just change the head gasket last month.

EH339 10-24-2005 07:51 AM

If it was rings, the smoke would be blue from the oil.
