Default 91 civic hatchback???

whats wrong with my car the battery light stays on but its not the alternator the speedometer doesnt work and the odometer doesnt work i changed the guage cluster still nothing and when it gets warmed up it out of first gear it doesnt respond sometimes at all

check your fuses, and get your battery checked

ok i will try the fuses and check the battery but do you know anytihng about the speedometer and the odometer not working???? im not so worried about the battery light cause i havent had any trouble with the battery light yet

i'd also have to say check the battery. if you have battery charger charge it over night or for a few hours. see if that helps

so does anyone know any reason as to why my speedometer is not working???? i acnt find any fuses for it and im not sure if theres a sensor in the tranny??? the cluster works and the cable is good but the speedo wont work and i dont need anymore tickets!!!!!!!!!

For the speedo... check that your cable is tight into the gauge cluster & then tight into the tranny.. you should be able to see it... just follow the cable from the firewall down behind the left-side of the engine by the tranny & it plugs in. I had the same problem with mine working from 0-25mph, and then it just stopped. I bet the cable is just loose. Hope it helps

yea, the odometer and speedometer are ran by cable, just buy a new one. they wear out and break easily. Mine did.
