Yeah, o-rings are just o-rings. Just try to get some that can withstand warmer temperatures, and i think you should be fine. Just make sure that they fit PERFECTLY, or you're gonna have leaks. Good luck bro!

 

FINAL UPDATE! About time! I got the o-rings from Lowe's last night.. brought the injectors to the store to make sure they fit just right. I DID get thicker-than-usual ones for the outermost o-ring (closest to the actual electrical connector), so it didn't seat "all the way" like it did before, but I guess that the other rings sealed just fine. I made sure to look down the TB when the ignition was on & fuel pump comes on for the 2 sec.. and it stays dry as a bone! So I fixed that for $6 instead of $14 from nopi or $35 from Honda.

Also, I figured out the weird electrical surges... turns out where the junction is for the cooling system, It hadn't been grounded to the block.. found the bolt, tightened it down to the block & whamo.. smooth again. Thanks for all the help. She's running like a champ once again!

haha.. thought the update was final.. it isn't.. went to work with the hatch yesterday.. purred like a kitten all the way there.. got that 1.5 dx up to around 90 for a good 5 minutes & no problems.. got in the car to run an errand at work & it was very hesitant.. i knew instantly it was those darn fuel injector o-rings.. guess hardware store ones won't hold up to the high pressure, gasoline & heat. I ordered new rings online from nopi, and am waiting for those to come.. 'til then I haven't taken them off to see if they're melted or corroded or what. Hopefully they won't be too much of a pain! Thanks for all your help guys. Just thought I'd give you the first-hand story of "when hardware store o-rings go bad".

 

I was afraid that was gonna happen. If you got o-rings that could withstand high pressure, temp, and gas, then you should've been okay. You probably just picked some up for a sink or something huh?
I don't think the ones you just put in are gonna be too difficult to remove. If they're melted, just pry em off with a small pointy object. You should be able to get them off pretty easily. Hmmm, guess i won't be mickey mousing certain things anymore . Good luck!
