are there affordable lexan/plexiglass kits for the CRX?
I was just wondering if there's more affordable lexan/plexiglass options for the CRX out there. The cheapest kits seem like at least a grand! There's got to be something cheaper out there, or at least I hope there is.
I'm also trying to get rid of a nasty ghetto tint on my Crx from the previous owner, so maybe it's best just to replace the windows w/ lexans instead of spending money to remove the tint.

you can remove it yourself it just takes time but at least its free. I used a blow dryer and a blade and it peeled off pretty easy once it was started. The residue was the hardest part but goo gone and a rag took care of that. We arn't allowed to have front windows tinted so I had no choice but to remove it. I did the whole car the rear was a ***** around the defroster lines but it still works.

You can also take some fine....FINE steel wool....some 409...paper towel...and window cleaner.....
Just peel off the tint...it'll leave the good crap.....spray a little 409 use the steel wool and it 'll come off. Then spray the window cleaner and wipe it off.....Boom...got tint-free windows.
I did this w/my 93 Si HB and worked perfectly.

back to the lexan question!!!
i dont know about where to find a good kit cheap but lightened windows are cool.... im just wondering if they are street legal (not that the average jackass will see the difference and not that 1000000 other things on my car arent illegal)

FURTHGENHATCH- US$4-500 is pretty reasonable, where did you find such prices? Is this for all windows? I tried to look around in this site and google, but I couldn't find anything.

I saw it in the summitracing.com catelog. It's not ALL windows, but the rear side windows and rear window. I bet having all Lexan windows would make your car street illegal.
