B18a in a CRX ?
hey guys, i'm used to the obd1 stuff in my EG but my buddy just blew the shit out of his stock CRX & wants to put a b18a in it.
i'm sure he will need different mounts & what not to get it situated in there but my question is, will the stock wiring harness thats on his blown motor, match right up with the b18a & fire up or no?
lemme know what is involved electrical wise. (it's already multi-port, hense the si)
TIA

as long as the B18a is out of a 90-91 integra it will work easily with the stock wiring harness, but if its a 92-93 thats obd1 rather than pre-obd, and will take modification. of course you can just use an obd 0 dizzy. other than that he will need mounts, shift linkage, tranny and ecu. i was looking into doing this very same thing in my crx, and i decided that if i were to do it it would be worth converting to obd1 to use the 92-93 engine as it has 6 extra ft-lbs of torque and 10 extra hp, this should make this car quick and able to take or keep up with b16 crxs
*I decided to go zc with my own car btw, as the cost is much cheaper and i just need it to run, but i plan on a b18c down the road*

B18a1 doesn't have vtec, right? How hard would it be to put a B16a head from a 90-91 Integra on there, assuming there wasn't vtec? Would it be worth it? Basicaly, my questions is would it be like the LS/VTEC swap, without having to do OBD conversions?
I'd like to find out more info on this B18a swap as opposed to the B16a swap.
