You have a cat-back and high flow cat or test pipe?

Aside from turbo or supercharging nitrous is the best, but that's probably not what you are looking at.

You actually have a lot of different options, try engine tech and tuning forum, you need a specific goal and budget. But you're going to need to invest in some dyno time and engine management to go much beyond bolt ons aside from maybe putting some mild cams and new valve springs in there, maybe an ITR intake manifold too, I'm not sure how much better it is. I'd also make sure your injectors are clean, one of mine was gummed up probably from being so old.

Well you need engine management for dyno time to be any use, unless you just want a baseline run. Also you won't need dyno time until you start messing with your head and are trying to build a real N/A screamer. Not really going to need it otherwise with just bolt ons.

if you want more low end torque the b16a is a terrible engine with limited options...really with regards to low end torque the old adage - no replacement for displacement - is the best and most effective way to gain such...this would be a b18b (teg ls/rs/gs) or b20 short block for much more torque and then put on your b16a head and get dual purpose...or just get a b18c long block

the s/c will be your best hope as its belt driven and will give immediate assistance at lower rpms...turbos unless they are really small and are ball bearing equipped won't help much with the lower end but will help in mid and higher ranges...nitrous will help a little but it'll run super rich (lots of gas, not a lot of air as cams aren't pulling in air, plus nitrous) at lower rpms fouling plugs often

if you are cheap...you can always improve response by gutting the car...less weight means your lack of low end torque doesn't have to move as much mass

if your want low end power . b20b turbo is the way to go . same motor mounts . alot cheaper as well . if u sell that b16 of your you can find b20b for around 600 bucks. spend the rest on the turbo . your get the idea . you will get close to 290 if tune correctly

Well I am thinking about supercharging my B16 but does anyone know how much stock internals can handle, like how much boost on a supercharger? 7psi?

If you want to keep your block, you can try to find a B17A crank and rod set. They are uncommon, but can be found if you are patient. The B17A and B16A use idenical engine blocks so the guts can be directly swapped as a crank/rod combo. Reuse the B16A pistons however, as they are higher compression then the stock B17A units.

Otherwise, start thinking of a B20B/Z block or some other import car in the 3.0l class (Supra, 300ZX, 3000GT/Stealth, etc)

My JRSc on my has a 8psi pulley that at redline sees boost at around 10. This is also been tuned though wouldnt just strap 8psi untuned on a motor. B series should easily handle 8.
