Default More power

Well the gsr engine was nice for a little while until i got beat by an sti. it was close from 0 to about 85 than he pulled about two cars on me...I orginally wanted to go all motor. that idea is now gone bc i realize that you can only go so far on a n/a motor set up. now im looking to get into a little more power. i want to do an ls/vtec turbo set up but i am open to any other ideas or thoughts/suggestions on good set ups. I want to be in the high 10s lower 11's with my set up. thanks guys....

First of all you lost to a STI....well duh. If you want a high 10 second car you better be going turbo.

well that helped absolutely none..ha just kidding...so what do you suggest??

Does anyone know where i can find a list of things needed for the ls/vtec swap...i know a b18 Block and b16 head (im most likely going to go with the ctr head) obviously, but there are some small things that i am unsure of...
also besides going through a junkyard is ebay going to be the most cost effective way of going about getting the block and head?

ha wow im lost

throw a turbo on your gsr engine. no need to go lsvtec if your b18c1 is still healthy.

so you guys think that building the gsr up instead of going ls/vtec is better.....ls/vtec would create more torque wouldnt it...pacific dude are you going all motor gsr or turbo?

if you're going turbo that wont matter. you can always use ls internals in your gsr block if you want a sort of lsvtec. :rick:

First off lets look at the facts.. a 300+ hp awd car whooped a pretty much stock 170 hp civic but only after 85mph.. you got a great base.. Forget turbo.. Spray it and forget it man.. you can make sure as much hp with a nice 50-75 shot of nitrous then you could on a turbo... Specially if you dont plan on building your setup if you plan on building turbo all the way.. but stock internals.. do it the cheaper faster way... i've seen stock gsr's with i/h/e break 14.9-14.8 with nitrous a 75 shot dry.. they brought their times down to 14.0-.13.8 with the right tuning and good parts your set with a nitrous setup..Do your own search see how deep your pockets are and go from there.. you can't just do a turbo setup in a week neither.. gotta piece it to gether and what not same with a nitrous setup or n/a.. just see what you like best.. everyone has their two cents and thats mine.. Btw..
CTR Cams,skunk2 intake manifold w/ hondata gasket.. and nice i/h/e and chipped ecu and you wouldn't be getting walked by that sti anymore.. on that setup of a n/a gsr.
