VTEC turn on Point
Does anyone know what the best point for VTEC is to come on at. I am going to buy a chip that turns it on at 5200 and redlines at 8800. The chip that i have in the car ( the one that was in the car when i bought it) starts at 4400, and IDK if it redline's. A friend of mine, who knows everything honda/acura, told me that 4400 was so low I was losing power. Obviously i dont wanna lose power, but would that chip seem ok?

The crossover should feel very smooth, 5200 is good. Are you running that Mugen ECU? Not good for the street. Do you have any pics of your car? Is it the authentic Mugen body kit or a WW or some other knockoff?
Technical name is the VTEC crossover point FYI.

Yea, I have an upgraded valvetrain, i just want to know if i should go 5,000 or 5200. I usually shift at about 8800 when racing, maybe 8700. But all I know is that in second gear at 6500, when I punch it, that beast flies. I Just want a few more HP's and if all i have to do is change a chip so be it. Anyone know any good upgrades to do, to improve my take off on a rollon in second gear? By the way I do have the Mugen ECU running.
