Will Tornado in the intake tube increase HP?
I just saw it advertised on TV. Does anybody have one and did you actually feel an increase in horsepower? Also, if so, which one would you order for an aftermarket intake and how expensive are these things?

Hell no... Seen plenty of posts, and people trying those out, and the 'electronic super chargers', they dont do shit... If anything, they work against you creating an obstruction in the air flow...

I would slightly disagree. What it states is true and tornado motion allows faster airflow then a normal straight through motion. A tornado motion therefore is better because it will allows air to get to the destination faster. The problem is, I don't think in this case it will do that much because it is sucking it soo much air the tornado it will be just overwelmed and clogged and probabally be ineffective, and thats why you probabally won't notice a difference.

i couldnt agree more 4banger69. my buddy wanted to get one of those for his car and i told him in your exact words, that the theory is correct but the product itself is shit.

The theory behind is aswell is crap... (Atleast how its applied in an intake) Simply because if the theory was correct, it would work as stated, and it simply dosnt... Its not like its a design flaw, the whole scheme is flawed... It may sound good on paper, but think about it logically...
The point of this gadget is to swirl the air, make it into a 'tornado effect'... But once the air reaches the throttle body, it will be split in half by the throttle plate thereby defeating the whole purpose... And then the air goes thru the plenum, and into the 4 runners to the combustion chamber, so how does one single swirl of air work on 4 different chambers? Simple, it dosnt...
Sure the air may reach its destination faster, but in an intake, its not so much the speed we need, its the amount of air and the temperature... So basicaly, all this thing accomplishes is restricting the air flow of the intake by giving the intake manifold less air faster... This is probably how it may help gas mileage, because your ECU will change fuel depending on how much air you are receiving, so less air == less fuel... So it may work there... But something like that will actually kill horsepower...
