Default ready for a ZC swap

My engine in my 89 CRX SI blew a couple of days ago(wednesday i think), and rather than go ahead and put money into that engine, I decided its about time for a swap. Im going with the ZC because of the affordability and the ease of putting it in. Ive already read fourthgenhatch's write up on it, but id like to hear anyone else suggestion on things such as which parts to replace, where to get it from, and whether or not i should use the ZC tranny.

Whats up champ, about the ZC swap. You can just get the motor itself & use your SI tranny or go w/ the complete ZC swap, motor, tranny & ECU. You can use your stock mounts, axles & anything else from the SI motor. The power was ok, but nothing like the B16A1. It was expensive but worth every penny. I went from the stock motor, ZC to B18A( l got screwed out of 3 Grand) I wanted to kill those fools to the popular B16a1.
Your CRX is a little lighter than my SI Civic. When you do the swap post up pictures how you like the preformance.

Go with teh DOHC Blacktop, its a 130 H.P. engine that should be a nice little bit of pep over the 108 H.P. d16.

The DOHC Blacktop ZC has nice pop. I put stage II type Crower regrinds in mine w/dual springs with titanium retainers. Went with a 4-2-1 header port matched to the ZC mani and of course all new seals, water pump, oil pump and no a/c. I'm no "GSR Killer" but it's got nice torque and decent pull. Next project is to take it back out some weekend and build the bottom end (I was in a hurry to get it done and it passed the compression test) I sure could go for a turbo. My build and swap went through with pretty much no big problems, and started up first try no codes, so if you need any help holler at me on here or hit me up at fitrider18@yahoo.com. Let me know how I can help.

The most powerful non vtech ZC is rated at 130 H.P. @6800 RPMs. The Vtech ZC is rated at 160 H.P. at 7600 RPMs. Those numbers show up on every spec article or site I've ever went to.

Nope...

http://asia.vtec.net/topics/zc.html

The ZC SOHC with VTEC is rated at 130ps... I dont know off hand the exact conversion to HP, but its minus the actual number... So its about 125-128HP...

The VTEC engine you are probably thinking of is the B16A which is DOHC VTEC rated at 160HP...

As for the DOHC ZC, whos to know for sure, some sites say 130HP (or ps) some say 137bhp...
