Default Question about Oil-Pickup

I bought a Moroso Oil-Pickup, now what is the difference between a non-girdle bottom end, and a girdle bottom end? I bought the Oil p/u, and it says it is for non-vtec, but when I asked the company they said it would work vor my B16a DOHC VTEC. So I really jsut need to know what is the difference between a non-girdle bottom end, and a girdle bottom end?

this is an aftermarket block girdle (click it):

b18c blocks have one stock. b16's do not because it has a near perfect r/s ratio allowing it to rev high no problem. b18a/b's dont have one because they were never meant to rev very high.

the purpose of a girdle is to keep the mains tied together for more strength. a pickup and windage tray from a b18c1 is needed if you want to get one.
