Why does your car "need" five lugs?

Well I'm have the ground designs Special edition kit on my REX.
I was going 19's but I've been speaking with the designer of the famous silver one from Ground Designs 2000, and he recommened that I should not go anything bigger than an 18". Which will be 18x10 in the rear and 18x8.5 in da front. Keep in mind with a custom offset. Than he was explaing why, and he told me to upgrade to 5 lug as well and the main reason is that with the extra weight of the fiberglass kit, the big wheels and still didn't put all the interior parts back in (whole custom fiberglassed interior) that the four lugs are meant to hold so much weight. Know with all these upgrade, thats why I need 5 lugs... I appreciate everyone's help on this issue.. I was thinking of Just putting in like Chromoly Stude or titanium or something but I'm not sure if I should take that chance!!!

Can some one help me clarify this situation please?

Thxs in advance if it takes me a day to respond... Miguel

Four M12x1.5 wheel studs successfully hold the wheels on much heavier cars then a CRX. Don't worry about it.
