What is the Best Motor for a CRX LS VTEC? ZC? GSR? B16? TYPE R? B20?
My friend who is my mechanic who fixes up cars says LS VTEC will beat the B16 and I dont want to spend a lot of money. That is why I am asking for your opinions. I am looking for power and I want to beat a WRX

If you don't know what an LS/VTEC is and why it makes power, it's not the engine for you. It's not a beginner's engine (ex: B16A.)
Define "best."

first of all what do you want to do with your car do you want to drag race it do you want road race all those are to take in to consideration. the ls vtec is the ls bottom end of the integra and the civic si head (b16) which converts it to vtec the reason for the swap on tthe one for the vtec and 2 for the fact that the b16 has a better flow

Id probably go with CR/Vtec also.... then again...it might cost you a lot more.... You would need to get the parts individually as opposed to jut getting a B16/B18 and just getting the head/ or bottom on later on as well as doing the conversion for it.
Anyways, i like the cr/vtec setup better, its has tad bit more torque, but like i said, parts might get expensive, you would need the block, the vtec head, axles, trans, shift linkage, ARP rod bolts, a couple more other things to make the setup work.
