Why would you give up your "JDM d16" and go to a b series if you smoke them all day already? What happend to your proof of all this, that you said you had?
This from the kid who said he "smokes,GSR's and Si's allll day".

:werd: And if you had a b series motor than you would actually REALLY be beating GSR's with all those mods. And if you want to squeeze more power out of your setup than CHange your exhaust setup back to a single exhaust. Your losing back pressure so get 2 1/4 inch piping flowing to a single exhaust and you will have more torque.

Tha answers simple. A b16 comes with about 30-40 more horse then your engine. SO with all those mods your will be looking at about 30-60 more horses. Considering that bolt ons might have a greater effect on a b series motor compared to a d-deries.

WHat jdm motor do you have. THe fastest d-series jdm motor i believe pushes 130hp. b16=160hp. Now you haven't added enough mods to equal 30hp especially with just bolt ons. But in your car you should be able to beat a STOCK 99 civic si. But a b16 in your car would be faster then your motor, but not buy a noticeably difference stock. You should have more torque then a b16 right now though with all your mods, but not more HP.

WHy wont you go turbo, its very cheap for a d-series motor and you can easily get over 170 whp, i think thats around 190-210 to the crank. Which is really beating gsr's and RSX type-s if you get the turbo to spool quickly. I know a guy with a turbo running 9lbs of boost on stock internals who beats rsx's all the time. Take the $1000 and invest in a turbo setup and save a little extra to get it tuned properly. Tuning is very important.

A lot of people say turboing the D series sucks and blows your engine but do you think it is a good solution? I always thought about turboing but I do not want to blow my engine

Blow your motor..? Not gonna happen unless 1) you try and run more boost then your capable of, Stock d16y8 motors can safely run up to 10lbs of boost. 2) If your car isn't tuned. Tuning is VERY important and it should be taken into consideration. You can run your car at low boost without tuning but once you take it and get it tuned then you will notice a tremendous difference. WWW.TURBOD16.COM i dunno if you ever checked out that site before, but you need to. THere are countless people who turbo d series motors.
