I have had a run of 15.8 in the 1/4 with I/H/E on a d16a6 in my 91 crx SI. Type R would kill me though but my car isnt built either. It could be done but not without a nice build and programmable Engine managment.

Yes with a nice build it can be done. But he is only adding BOLT ONS. not gonna happen. Lets see i have a heavy 98 civic 2 dr coupe d16y8 with a nice load of bolt ons/other stuff and i beat crx si's which have i/h/e all the time. easily. They might get me off the line but by third gear i will have them by at least half a car and continue to stretch them. 15.8 is a good run though for just i/h/e. But c'mon..... keeping up with a type r..?

About as much as taking a really large shit before racing. They are mainly for cosmetic purposes.

Best bang for your buck - change that "d" to a "b" and with a few quickie mods you'll be right back where you are right now with plenty of room to grow. You started out wanting to add another $1000 or so for more power and blew that budget on shocks!! Why not do the swap and sell or part out your current motor. You'll recoup much of your swap cost and be happier in the long run.

Who knows, you may even get to dance with the integ R's. :yay:

Type R hell no I could never keep up with that! And yes its going to take more than bolt ons to do that unless you call a turbo a bolt on.

Most of your mods will not even fit the B series motor. It will give you more power in the stock form than you have now with better reliability, so that may be something to consider.

He didnt say a B16 with the mods from his D he said B16 vs Dseries with mods. Streetracing crx just look at a couple of sites do your homework and decide for yourself what you want to use the car for then mod from there.
