Im not sure what ecu you have or what motor you ahve but i bought a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness from skunk2 off ebay and also got the p28 chip which took the speed governor off and lowered the vtec engagment to 4800 and raised the rev limiter to 9000rpm. And like i said you can safely boost up to 10lbs on stock internals. WHen it comes to turbo you should really read up to make sure you get the right turbo set up. And the amount of boost depends on how much HP you want to be satisfied with but i can guaruntee that you dont have to run a high amount of boost in your car considering how light it is. How much HP do u think you have now. Have you ever had your car dynoed? and how much HP would you like to accomplish?

Jesus!!!!!!!! I saw the video with the D16 Turbo with 9PSI and it is fast!!! My car should be faster since it is lighter and a lot more mods. Wow that car is really fast. He went from like 50-120 in 5-6 seconds, it would take me like 13-16 seconds

I seriously doubt a few cheap bolt ons will give you a 35 hp increase over stock.

You are obviously a very lonely guy since you want people to think you are cool because of what you drive and how fast it goes.

But anyways, if you WERE to eventually turbo the car, the header will have to go, the ECU "chip" POS thing will have to go, and the intake will have to go.

If you were to boost ANY amount, you must have some sort of fuel management. Some don't require tuning but for higher boost levels that push the structural integrity of your motor, you need to be running a stand-alone ECU that has fueling and timing for boost curves created by a tuner that has tuned your car on a dyno with a wideband 02 sensor. A preburned chip is a great way to blow up a motor.

I am not trying to bag on you in any way, but I find your claims a bit overexaggerated and uneducated.

That statement takes the cake! Why not do some of your own research instead of asking all these questions which can be easliy answered by ways of searching. You have all these mods and act knowledgeable and whatnot and you have no idea if the y8 is vtec?Yet alone the common sense to look something up,esp that easy!
First you claim to beat Si's and GSR's alll day, then you say you are pushin 165hp on the d16 w/your bolt ons.I don't think so.Get it dynoed and prove me wrong. Also what happend to all that proof that you had about beating the b16's and b18c's all day!!

Thanks for the advice, I have done research for about a year now but never actually wanted to turbo my car until now. The reason I say 165+ is because my car engine stock is 130 and all the parts I put on say like 5-10hp increase so I just kind of took the median and added them up
