Default B16a (JDM 92 - 97) tranny & B16a (JDM 88 - 91) BIG QUESTION

I just recently puled the b16a out of my car. Now this B16a is the 88-91 JDm. I just now bought a B16a with 170 hp JDM 92-97. See here is my problem. In the specs of the 88-91 B16a it says that the tranny is cable. And this newer B16a says the transmisson is hydraulic. Now I just bought the B16a JDM 92-97 engine, and only the engine. I still have my S1 tranny from the older B16a, will the S1 tranny bolt right up to the newer B16a. I figured it would because, it says the transmission is hydraulic, so if I have a cable tranny, it shuld be able to bolt right onto the newer B16a. RIGHT?
