I am VERY happy with it.

I had originally bought a b16 for my DX hatch, but that turned out to be more of a pain in the ass then what it was worth. I didn't even get it in the car. So I sold that to one of my friends.

At the same time I bought the b16, my brother bougth the ZC for his (now mine) Rex. It only took a weekend to put it and no probs yet. I did have a distro prob, but that's routine stuff. I ended up buying his rex off him when he bought a JRSC ZC powered CRX.

The $$ I'm using to build a junkyard turbo.

You can get crower to regrind your stock cams for like 150 or so too. I'll be doing that too. Luckily my bro has an extra set of cams laying around that I can use so I don't have to go w/out a car!!

I'm not sure on price, my bro had bought it. If you have any questions please ask. You'll really like the ZC.

my plans include first buying a stock 88-91 si tranny and putting it into my car just to get the 5spd conversion out of the way and than buying the ZC and swapping the final drive gears in the trannys as seen on the hybrid honda performance pages and than eventually a turbo

hey white rice... can u please explane the dsm turbo u mentioned in the other post? does the manifold even bolt right up? thanx for the info guys and keep the sites commin

The HF tranny has the best 5th gear for highway driving, just an FYI.

Junkyard turbos....OK...the main things you'll need are:

CRX HF or civic CX manifold--because these have the catalytic converter in front, instead of under the engine. You'll just need the top part. I can get a pic of it if you want.
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...13SR30_D07.gif It's labeled as #3.

A turbo of some sort---You can get these virtually anywhere. I bought a T-25 from a DSM Talon.
Example:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1853218453
I got mine for $100. Just keep your eye out.

The Turbo adapter plate. Mine is at my brothers. I can get a pic of it in the future if you want. I can point you in the direction of getting one though.

I found this pic online. That is basically what it looks like. It's about 3/4" to 1 " thick.

Blow off valve--You can buy a Bosch for like 40 bucks...or you can spend a lot more. It's up to you.

Downpipe and Intake charge piping.....JC whitney sells metal pipes that you can match put together to create this.

Guages.....self explanatory.

intercooler...haven't gotten one yet....still lookin.

Fuel/engine management...this is the most expensive part of it. I'm gonna go w/a Zdyne gold ecu.....this will allow me to control my mapping. They run about 700 I believe. But there are cheaper alternatives.

Larger injectors....I've got some GSR's....used for 40 bucks.

You can run about 8 psi safely with stock internals...that's what I'll be running.

Those are the major things you'll need. I unfortunately have too many bills, so mine won't be completed till Springtime (when my tax check comes in). I'm still learning alot about them. But I've also learned a ton about them in the process.

You can also go to www.homemadeturbo.com This sight is very helpful.
