Assuming you're talking about the hood release.

You probably have to adjust or replace the hood release cable.

I have no idea if you can reach the release lever on the hood latch from underneath the car with a long screwdriver. (maybe, disconnect the cable from the lever/handle inside the car carefully pull it further with a pair of visegrips.)

(If all else fails, call a few Honda service departments and talk to their technical advisors.)

There should be a couple nuts in there (on the latch side) to adjust it like a throttle cable.

You can adjust the striker on the hood by loosening the locknut
inside of the spring and screwing it in or out as needed..

Sometimes, cleaning and greasing the latch mechanism will
cure the problem unless the cable is broken or stretched.

See: http://www.binghamtonlife.com/manual...s/91-20-57.jpg
for reference..

Default Link doesn't work

I'm unable to open my hood using the latch also. I'm in a huge problem because the car won't start and I can't get the hood to open at all. I did this search instead of just posting a new thread and the link seems to not work. So I wanted to ask in case someone has an answer.

My hood release from inside won't work because it seems as though the cable wire is stretched or probably even broken. I tried to visegrip it and pull from inside and still the hood latch won't release. So the hood is locked and I have no clue on how to get it to pop up a little bit so I can pull the lever to open the hood. Car won't start so I can't even drive it and can only push it onto my driveway to attempt to fix it. Please can someone help me out... I'm in desperate help. I am so close to hacking at my hood and cutting a hole into my hood.... argh!!!
