Default 85 HF dies after warm up... why?

My son has a 1985 crx hf. after it warms up it dies when he comes to a stop. It simply won't stay idling. Is it something as simple as adjusting the idle or is it something else. It is carbureted.

Check the sticker on the inside of the hood. It lists the low idle speed (750-780 for most honda engines). Assuming the engine is correctly tuned (timing, valve clearance, spark plug gap, etc.), adjusting the idle speed should fix the problem.

I had the same problem with my car shutting off when I would stop, what you have to do is check the throttle cable, and adjust the idling screw, it is located o nthe throttle body. It should be a screw that is about 1/4" wide or so.
