Default for the dpfi to mpfi, can the ex ecu, manifold, and all the other stuff be used for..

the swap? since its the same engine code, and i could probably find a ex easier then a si hatch.

yes - however, some EX cars have automatic transmission - the auto ECU won't work on manual (it will run, but you will get Check Engine Light and code 19)

A manual EX is pretty much all the same, you just don't hear much about it because 4G EX's are rather uncommon.

I would go with a civic/crx si set up,
makes things much easier.

so where would i look for a mpfi swap besides the junkyards? like places on the net, shops or something?

i dont have to do mpfi swap on my current motor right? i could just do the wiring when i get a new motor?
