Default Mugen cai help needed!

So i bought a mugen cold air intake on ebay (didn't come with directions), and it looks pretty good in my yellow crx (trying to stick with a yellow and blue color scheme). Well i think i need a reducer (or something of that sort) to connect the cai to the engine as the intake's tube is about a 2.5 inch in diameter and the engine mount is 2.0 inch in diameter. Do they manufacture reducers or is there another part that i need to get to connect the cai to my betsie? yes i am quite new at this modding stuff so please bear with me guys (i'm a computer geek and i a trying to make the crossover). if you need more info, just ask. thank you in advanced
Anthony

Default what tha wtf!?

well that is so gay, i love mugen stuff and this just sucks. oh well, it was cheap ne ways 46 ish plush 17 ish shipping. So well ne ways, how did you mount it to the intake manifold? and another question, to make it a true cai, did you remove you your bumper to get it ultra low and away from the engine (i dunno if this applies to crxes, but i have been reading that alot of people do this)?

Default wrong one!?

well yeah mine is for an si also, but i figured that it shouldn't matter much at alls since the engines are relatively the same... this won't be a prob if i hook this pseudo-mugen up to my betsie would it (reduction of power, really kill gass milage....those type of concerns)?

see if you can find a reducer at a hardware store...i'm sure there has to be something you can use in the plumbing section (though i'd search long and hard for something silicon rather than rubber - rubber expands under compression more than silicon - but you are n/a so you won't get have a huge amount of compressed air)

correct me if i'm wrong but i think mugen changed their name after a scandal by its management...i can't remember their new name but i don't think they market under "mugen" anymore

Default oh really?

oh i didn't know bout the scandal, thanks for the heads up, i'll look for the new name. Well i have a question. Should i remove my bumper and take out the little black box (part of the stock intake) and place the filter in that little compartment, or should i leave it all visible under the hood .

Pic 1 is pointing to where the compartment is.

Pic 2 is of the setup i will have to use if i don't do option one.

Removing it wouldn't be a bad idea and it also helps with your
weight reduction

that black box hidden in the bumper is your resonator (helps to quiet down the engine significantly)...normal cai units trace the same route as the stock intake including down to the bumper area
