Default would garrett t-3 turbo be easy to put in a dx crx?

stock 1.5 dx model. the turbo is off a saab get it for 100.00 its oil cooled and has wastegate. worth getting?

Sure, but plan on spending at least a few hundred bucks on top of that to convert the car to MPFI, adapt or buy a proper manifold, an intercooler, downpipe, piping, some form of fuel management. a BOV, lots of stuff.

Easy? Yes.
Cheap? No.

Yeah i wouldnt waste my time and money on the DX until you got it converted to MPFI what you have now is basically a 2 injector throttle body not good for performance.

not good for performance but good for better mileage? if i convert to MPFi then i get worse mpg?

What are you worried about power or MPG 9 times out of ten you cant have both.

do you need a si distributor for a pgmfi swap on a dx?

It's not really good for better gas milage, the DPFI system acts like an electronic carburator. It isn't the best at distributing the air/fuel charge.

Remember, the CRX HF, which had the best gas milage of the generation, had an MPFI system.

MPG numbers also heavily depend on the tune of the engine. A little stock engine is going to give more MPG then a seriously performance tuned one.
