They look like plugs... you just have to look past the baby flesh hanging on the 20 billion prongs. Never turn your back on an OBD-2 computer, or it will eat you too.

Simplest case: backdate it all to OBD-0. Use the proper ECU from there.

I need a more specific question, as in which exact engine, and which exact OBD level do you want it to end up. I can tell you right now that you don't want to keep it OBD-2.

I think OBD1 is best. That way you don't have to find an OBD0 vtec distributor.

If you want to chop off one of the distributor's legs to clear the VTEC solenoid and are happy with a dist holding on by two legs, yeah.

This applies to this guys question: I'm swapping a B18 LS motor into my CRX DX. I know I need to convert my dpfi to mpfi, and if I'm understanding your explanation correctly, my car is OBD-0? What is the LS motor and what would I need to do to make everything compatable? Thanks alot for your help.

FYI I think there is a section in the FAQ that will explain all that too you...Just thought I would let you know so it doesn't get explained again or do a search on it....Just a thought....

Good Luck on the SWAP!!!

Yes.

An "LS" engine is a misnomer. It can apply to three different engines:
86-89 D16A1
90-93 B18A1
94-01 B18B1

The commonly accepted "LS" engine is the B18A1 or B18B1.

Everything required to convert can be found in a search.
