that depends on if you want N/A or boost. i would go with an LS if i wanted to boost, maybe even an LS/VTEC. i tewnd to shy away from the b18c1, not because its a bad motor, its a great motor, but because there in such high demand that the proces of them are outrageous and the money you pay for a stock b18c1 swap, you could buy an LS, purchase pistons rods, and some other goodies.

Only the first two are practical for use in a 4G.
The F's aren't related to the k's at all.
Does the s2k motor share anything with the F20B?

I have an OBD-1 Zc in my EG,mated to a z6 tranny.Direct bolt in and plug n play!
I got it since it was different, kind of rare and when i pop the hood ppl think it is an Integra motor.(b18a/b)
Technically the motor came from and EG5,it was a special JDM Si.Here are pics of an original Eg5 and here is a pic of my car, which the Zc went into.

Well, thats halfway true. The early and mid F series didn't have anything to do with them. The F22A type engines where the original, true F's. Then along came the F20B, which was actually a destroked H22A... making it basically an H series with a funny name. Then around came the F20C, the original S2k engine. It spins backwards, like the K's, and reportedly shares the same head gasket (and potentially a swappable head.) They are pretty similar, as is the new S2k's F22C.

Besides, my point is that the S2k series of F's and all the K's are superior to the previously listed engines... not that the F2*C is a K.

For all out, balls-to-the-wall B series performance, start with a B18C block, the cheapest you can find (most likely a B18C1 or B18C [SiR-G].) The block itself is identical, only the pistons differ. The head is your choice.

The S2k has all the advantages of iVTEC.
