Interior work
I'm finishing up the "go" for my 89 crx, and I'm about to start on the "show." The first thing I plan to do is stain several interior components--carpeting, dash, center console, etc. etc.
My question is, what are my options for staining the stuff I listed? Can I do it myself? How much do these options cost?
I promise I'll post pics when I'm finished

i saw somewhere this place that sold interior dye but i can't remember where it was stockinteriors.com sells custom interior stuff though, cheaper than OEM and pretty good quality from what i hear, though i'm not speaking from experience

die is probably the best choice but if you do choose to spray it besure to clean it extremely well with wax and grease remover and then spray it with adhesive promoter before you spray the paint. other wise it will eventually chip off if you are not carefull.

hey...
What about not using any paint and just covering it in a fabric? I looked at some custom jobs on crx doors and the people just layered a fabric over the stock stuff, wrapped it around where it wasn't visible and just glued it there. I think a white suede dash would be cool as hell.

Doing a home covering job usually turns out bad, unless you are a pro.
If the color you want is availible stock, buy the stock parts and swap them. If not, let a professional do them.
FWIW, I think a white suede dash would look horrible.
