as long as you match the wiring color, I dont see why it wouldnt work. I know for the EG that the climate controls will not switch over, but that is because of how they are designed to work with different parts of the heating/cooling systems. I dont see why this would work in the fourth gens.

Relevance is irrelevant
because when you change things with the slider, your manually moving the vent flaps.
it just seems like the digital would have to have a different mechanism... maybe i'm dillusional

the JDM climate control is a bitch to install and get to work right. usually the ones on ebay (including the one you posted) don't include everything you need. there is a thread on www.jdmuniverse.com about it (here:http://www.jdmuniverse.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=23150) which describes the additional parts (motors, fans, wiring, sensors, etc) you need for it to work properly, and has a bunch of pics of the parts you need. its definitely not a DIY unless you are an electrician AND if you can get all the parts you need. schwanginpt on this forum (and JDMU) has one - he and his brother (who has electrical skills) have been working on getting it installed and working.
