Converting to MPFI would be the best thing to do.

if you find a used skunk2 intake manifold for a good price it would be worth the money...but they cost around $225 for a new one...si intake manifolds are pretty decent and not a bottleneck for a stock or bolt on modified d16a6 engine...when using fi or heavy mods including built engine and internals then it would be a bottleneck...but you can still port & polish the si intake manifold for better flow

you can get it and it won't hurt...but you don't need it
