im the b18c5 guy, will i planed on spending whatever it took to build this car bvut i might be a dad again and ether i sell the car or go cheeper. so what would be a good motor for around $2500 that i can still pull numbers out of. Maby something with dohc and vtec. i might be able to still get a turbo so a motor that can handle that would be great. maby b16? plaese help and sorry again.

A B18A1 would be great for you if you plan to turbo, a B16A would work well if you aren't in a big hurry and want a little more N/A power for now.

If I was in your situation than I'd def. go for the B16 without a doubt. With that option you'll get the most power for your money. Not only that, but they can handle a turbo pretty well as long as you don't over boost it. They are also more common than the other B series engines so they are easier to find parts for. Good luck boss.

I hear hmotorsonline.com is one of the best places to buy motors.

true, and no the b16 is not the easiest to find parts for.the b18,go into any parts store and ask for a b161 water pump/etc good luck.try that same scenario for a b18.

B16A's are plenty easy to get parts for, you just have to know what questions to ask.

The easiest to ask for would be parts for a '92 or '93 Integra GS-R.
