Default Power Project

Would someone share their experience in doing an H22A swap in a 2nd gen CRX. I'd like to consider this swap over a Type-R in my '89, but I can't find much info. I'm in California, so if anyone has done it here I would especially like to hear about it(considering all the CARB hoops to jump through for swaps & stuff). Thanks guys.

all it takes is $$$$$$$$ and you can do anything you want...do you have a budget, resources, tools, fabricator...etc. etc...need more details.

I'd say about a $7-8k budget planned for. I've got some custom exterior ideas of my own involved as well. I've got access to tools so that shouldn't be too big a deal. I just have to finish filling the budget tank and schedule the time.

you'll loose the handling which is IMO the best part of the car.
and please don't rice out the exterior.

I've been at this site for quite a while and have yet to see anyone even claim to have an H22A CRX.

well the guy down the street from me has a 92-95 civic hb with an h22,runs 12's stock.you dont need to fab up a whole new engine bay.it just requires a lot or denting and grinding.it is legal, and should pass smog no problem just follow everything like it is in the prelude.i really want to do this too.im just waiting for a company to start putting out a mount kit on the market before i do anything.hell the h22's are cheap as hell and put out pretty good power.

Well, I would like to keep the handling, if an H22 compromises that because of it's added weight. What are some suggestions to keep the handling with some more umph... a GSR, B16, or Type-R motor? As far as rice is concerned...no whale tails, windshield washer lights and crap like that. I'm leaning towards a Flared Mugen Bodykit and a few little ideas to express some creativity.

GS-R plus a decent T3/T4 would still be fairly light with plenty of "umph"
