Hmmmm, I would say what's already been posted before me then, starter or the ign. switch.
I would check one little thing though, On the starter there is a one pin spade type connector that sometimes will come loose and cause the starter to not crank. It's got a rubber boot over it but it's right there next to the other connections.

check your grounds...mine was doing this and when i would turn the key itt wouldnt even make any noise but id see the dash lights go off when you turn the key like it should but no noise...check the tranny to body, body to battery and your valve cover ground along with the thermostat...if they arent tight it wont work. mine was the tranny to body...against the body was loose and i tightened it right up and you know what...it started up like a charm

Have you checked the Starter relay. It is next to the famous MAIN Relay on the driver's side kick panel. To test the circuit from it to the starter-take you voltmeter and connect it to the small wire on the starter. Press on the clutch and turn the key-you should have 12 volts. The shop manual drawing is also your friend. It is possible but most unlikely that the MAIN relay has failed based on what you are saying. The car DOES run when push started.
Have you checked the ECU? Take a very careful look for codes. It should give you a single quick blink when you first turn the key ON. Another thing-have you checked to be sure the start sequence is correct-that is that you turn the key ON and listen for the fuel pump to run for ~2 seconds and stop in addition to the CHECK light going out. Make sure all of this is correct.
Last thing-could be the Clutch Safety switch. It is located up under the dash on the Clutch pedal assembly. It is not hard to get to if you are patient. Just remember that it will test good if you have power at the Starter solenoid. Testing it is a bit more of a porblem due to its location-it also is the control for the Starter Relay.
Good luck
