say hello to my new little friend! :) (DUW)
I copied and pasted this from another forum, I know I put something up a week or two ago and this may be a bit redundant, but get over it
this weekend I am finally picking up an 87 CRX Si
I've got the audio part covered, but something about 91hp just doesnt seem to go over too well in my head. What are some cheap/free things I can do to it (very inexperienced!)
Here are some pix...
I saw some Motegi 15's I would love to throw on it, but as you can see, there is a bit of touch up work on the paint/body that needs to be covered first before too much aesthetic stuff can be done!

an engine swap isn't really cheap, but it's really the only upgrade that would have a significant influence on the car's power (unless you boost it, but why when it costs more than a b16?).

it's a B Series, hence the name "B"16, and it is MPFI (Multi Point Fuel Injection). A complete swap can run you between $1,000-1,400 (at least those are the ranges I've seen). Not to hard to install if you know what you're doing and you have all the right tools. It'll prolly run you about $400-600 for labor at a mechanic to install it for you.
The first post in this forum has links that tell you all about the different kinds of swaps that you can do and what to expect. Hope that helps.

thats not an si.your going from a carbed motor to fuel injection and its not going to be cheap.the si came with a rubber wing that fit flush against the hatch,so you need to change from the carb setup to the fuel injection, there is other little differences in the body from the si than the other models.
