88 civic zc engine problems
Hello to everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a couple problems i am having with my civic. My ECU is flashing the following codes, 09, 10, and 17. Code nine is something about No. 1 cylinder position, i don;t know what that means, code 10 is intake air temperature, and 17 is Vehicle speed sensor. Im not sure if these are correct i found them on the net, I have a dohc zc 1.6l engine. Also the car is idling around 2000 rpm, i have adjusted the throttle cable and that only helped a little bit, but it still doesn't always want to drop down. If anyone has some advise i would appreciate it.

Go to www.thezcr.com and copy/paste your problem. Their really help usually. It sound like either your sensers or your wiring is wrong. Did you just do the swap?

sounds like you have to adjust the idle screw to lower the idle...or your fast idle can be going bad
word of advice...just b/c the car came with the swap already doesn't mean they did it right...i'd give the wiring a good look over...do you have a helm manual? these are worth their weight in gold to the diy mechanic (this is what factory honda dealers use)...www.helminc.com
since your car runs and you are gettign a code 9 then that sounds like your timing is off
code 10 is the iat and sound like they didn't wire it correctly or the sensor is bad...trace the wires or make sure its even hooked up
code 17 could be they didn't install the speedo correctly...does your speedo work?...i'd check on the tranny for the speedo hookup and behind the gauge cluster if it doesn't work
