My '91 Si has a frame mounted tow hitch. WTF? Anyone else have one? Now all I need is a jet-ski.

I'm really not to sure if this came from factory, but I have seen a crx around here with one, and he WAS towing a jet-ski. I thought it was pretty kool.

Mine is definitely not factory, it is a bolt on and there is a box wrench stuck on the last nut. Evidently they couldn't get the wrench off and just left it. I laughed my ass off when I saw that.

Thats cool the one you saw was towing a jet-ski. My thoughts exactly.

You should probably take it off, the CRX was never ment to tow anything. That'll put a lot of stress on the unibody, engine, and transaxle if you try to tow anything of decent size.

I agree Kai, in fact we were making jokes about trying to tow a boat with a little CRX until I thought JET-SKI. I always wanted one of those things. So the hitch will stay but won't ever get used to tow anything really heavy. I think a jet-ski would be about the limit.

hehe my 87 teg i bought came with a hitch too. the sh*tty thing is its rusted right to the friggin frame! took the bolts out and still couldn't get the thing off!

i see guys pulling two wheel trailers with wheels in them to the track...total with trailer its like under 400lbs with a tongue weight of much less then that...i'd be more worried about being able to stop and worrying about jack-knifing if you'd ever have to stop quickly
