The fact that the hf bottom end has 8 vlaves is how this whole build up works.
A- valves don't hit pistons with a stock si cam/valves. vtec heads will NOT work- too much lift and they will hit.
B- with no reliefs, it creates a LOT of compression, and thus, torque/power.

It does require premium gas... but it gets 30-some MPG. Try a turbo RX-7, sucking down a gallon of premium every 20 miles. Honda guys have it good.
