I just got a 89 CRX, and I have a friend with a totaled 2000 Integra LS sitting in my brothers garage. Should I buy the engine and tranny from him? Would this be an easy and practical swap?

its not that big of a deal..motor mounts shift linkage anx axles + ecu. you should be fine.just to make a little point though, they did make a zc with vtec.its only a sohc though.and the power is huge.people say this all the time i have ridden in a zc powerd crx and it was pretty weak.i am now used to driving a b16 powerd hb and i dont think i will ever get over the tourque and power that my motor makes.you say its just a extra 30 hp? that extra 30hp means the difference from winning and loosing.
it all comes down to what you use the car for.if its for race then go with the b16 if you just ant a little extra kick the go for the zc swap, the zc is by all means straight forward, and much easier to do.

The only engines in '84-87 CRXs in the US that had fuel injection were Si's. All others were carbureted.
