crank shaft bolt, normal or reverse?
This is my first post so I'll start by saying hi. When I asked around for a mature and knowledgeable board your guys name came up so I have high expectations. j/k
I have an 88 CRX that I bought back from someone I sold it to a few years ago. It has a few engine problems now, it needs a new headgasket, timing belt...ect nothing to hard so I took on the project. I've owned and worked on Honda's for years so I tore into the motor without any books. Right now I'm stuck on the crankshaft bolt. I tried taking it off counter clock wise but couldn't get it to move. I thought I remembered the crank shaft bolt being reverse thread so I tried it clock wise. Still nothing, so I put the rachet on the sub frame and had someone bump over the starter. The bolt looked like it tightened another 1/16 of a turn. Now I'm worried that I made the problem worst.
Anyone know which thread the crankshaft bolt is? Thanks.

I typed "crank pulley bolt direction" into the search engine and i got this:https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...bolt+direction
It is a regular right handed thread.
We're eager to help you, but it's best to search for answers with the search engine first, because you get an answer instantly. Then, if you have any very specific tech questions that would be hard to find on the search engine, ask us
