my friend needs some help
he just bought a crx with a mini-me swap. the head is a y8 and he wants to know what would be a friendly turbo setup for his car. i would usually say just build a custom, but i have never delt with a mini-me before, so i am unsure, mainly due to compression ratios and also the reliability of the mini-me. so if you could, just some info would be nice

You made your first post around 2:00 and then replied at 3:00. Not everyone has a chance to read everything during the day due to work, school, and other daily responsibilities. Give it some time and you'll get replies.

Turbo it like any other D, but beware of the compression ratio. The Y8 head has small combustion chambers, but we need to know what block and pistons he's using before and real advice can be given.

I wouldn't personally suggest it..but that is probably because I don't really like mini-me swaps..But anyway I believe when you do a mini-me swap the compression gets really high..thats why the suggest putting the best fuel in your car to try and avoid detonation.. I wouldn't suggest a turbo but then again I don't really know much about the small mini me swap just the ls-vtec ones..I believe somewhere on this website in this forum there is a link to a website where you enter in the head and the block and the head gasket and it tells you how much compression you would have. i think they called it a compression calculator..I will try and find it for you..have fun!
