Putting an s2000 motor in a CRX is pointless, for about $7000 you could put a B18CR in there that would give almost identical power figures. And if you really wanted to spend all that money on fabrication you might as well put an NSX motor behind the seats and hook it up to the rear wheels. MR CRX!

"here's where it will get really expensive
you'll have clearnace issues so lots of planning and development costs
you'll have to fabricate new motor mounts
you'll have to fabricate a transmission or somehow get a fwd tranny and drivetrain to accept the f20c motor"

25k huh? friggen ricers around here man. it would be pricey but not that pricey.. maybee 3k or so ofteh actuall work... but its not worth it. the motors are to expencive to start with, i'd turbocharge a D15 first.

if you can put a rotary on a dune buggy in mr setup.. this is definitly doable
and the nsx-crx swap in MR format.. its been done, seen it in person at 02 tuner bash.

i wish i could remember the company name. but they make bellhousings that allow you to mate a k20 transmission to an f20c block. it was developed for the elise.

You know why dune buggies with Rotary engines exist? Because you can mount any engine into a tube frame dune buggy with ease. Droping an S2K engine into a CRX is a completely different operation.

Please. 3K would get you the motor mounts and custom axles. Then you're talking about a custom fabricated bellhousing to attach a K series transmission to the F20 block. Which means you need a company with a huge CNC machine to retool it to make you a one-off part. Yeah right.

They never made one. They had plans, but I think they realized there was no point to putting an F20C into their Exige after they'd gotten a K20A in.

A RWD, fwd honda would be nice. When I went to Drift Atlanta I saw an Integra that was modified to RWD. It was sick to see a teg do burnouts and drift. I believe it had the sr20det motor in it and parts from the s14/240 nissans.

Back to being realistic. U would have to have a shop to do this and make it descent. Sure u could just chop up an s2k and do something like the monster garage but it would look like shit and drive like shit.

It's worth mentioning for guys that aren't fimiliar with the AE86, it's rear wheel drive.

The only time I ever see those cars is at drift events. Go figure.
