Default Continuing my search for a CRX

I have found a 89 and a 90 CRX HF for sale.

What is an easy swap for the HF?

Which would be better to get the HF or the Si?

How hard is it to swap from a Auto to a 5speed?

Thanks for the help...i am cluess with this stuff....and trying to learn.

Ummm...If you haven't bought anything yet, rule out an automatic. It's not worth to buy then swap to a manual tranny.

Si's are easier swaps then HF...HF's have a different spindle size for axles, I think.

89's and up had the door mounted seatbelts...they also have several other additions that add weight

the 88 hf was the lightest stock 2g crx

The HF hubs are too weak to safely consider for higher power applications anyways, most people swap Si front suspension into an HF and still end up with a lighter weight hybrid.

Not if you have any inkling of mechanical ability.

I found an 89 or 90 (don't remember right now) HF for $800 motor doesn't run.

And a 88 Si for $1800 with a problem that i don't recall but an engine swap would fix.

Both 5 speeds.

Would it be worth getting the HF and swapping the suspension? Or just get the Si?

The HF with the necessary suspension stuff will still be under the $1800 Si cost.

It'd be worth it if you don't have to pay someone else to do the work. Otherwise the Si is better.
