I'm not sure. I think the bottom ends of all B-series can handle high revs its just the valvetrain isn't designed to rev much over 7k without the wild cam profile the VTEC creates and all the extra beefed up goodies the head has. But then again Honda could have put less heavy duty parts in the bottom end because there is no VTEC. You'd have to find that out. You could always just buy aftermarket rods.

Well, if you think about it, the CRV is automatic so getting it to redline besides putting it in neutral, is a challenge. The B20 wasn't made to rev all that high, it's a damn SUV!
