Default 2004 Car Planz

It's that time of year...what is everyone's focus on their cars?

Mine...sold my 88 hf last year (miss it but never had time to work on it...wouldn't run with an electrical problem that would elude me)

Fresh Start
first plans is to build up a b18b block & head for turbo application

Block
- maybe do a stroker kit from crower, etc. to bump it up to 2.19 liters
- or just keep stock compression and get new rods, shot peened crank, new pistons
- block guard
- oil cooler

Cylinder Head
- finish up my port & polish job
- get a 5 angle valve job from a professional
- get head heat tanked

Intake
- looking at a skunk2 intake manifold
- large bore tb
- hondata intake & tb gasket

Tranny
- b18a cable series to keep weight and complexity instead of a hydro (lsd install and shot peen shift forks for added strength)

ECU
- hondata programmable ecu

Turbo
- got a used 14b sitting around waiting to be rebuilt (may trade for a large t3/t4 hybrid...need to determine how much cfm flow i will need

Car
- kinda looking at a 4g 88 sedan for rareness and sleeper effect

Block
- a6 block overhaul with new piston rings

Head
- mini me swap with d16z6 head
- either zex 59300 or crower stage 2 cam
- possibly aem adjustable cam gear

Intake Manifold
- d16z6 for now, maybe d16y8

ECU
- pm6 with rpm switch for vtec activation
- eventally p28 to convert to obd-1

Tranny
- a6 cable tranny with new input shaft bearing and 1st and 2nd gear syncrhos

Comestic
- hoping for jdm ef9 front end
- repaint whole car milano red again

I'll probably get half of those things done this year, I hope.

I hope to acquire a CRX for a daily driving kickaround while I continue to focus on my Civic.

Civic plans:
Intake:
Reinstall ITBs
Tune the above

Find and mount WRX STI hood scoop
Have a fiberglass airbox fabbed for the above

Head:
Cams, valvesprings, retainers

Block:
JDM ITR pistons (not a priority)

I wish I had '04 plans seeing as I just dumped the '87 to pay some debts and all, but it is not looking very likely at the time being.

If I do, I'll be scraping up another 86-87 Civic Si or 86-87 CRX Si and dumping a B18A into it. Maybe a D16A1 with a little T25 or something if I cheap out.

well, ive already done some things so far. fixed the speedometer and associated hardware, overhauled my calipers and turned one rotor and bought a new one to replace the one that was out of spec. and i got four new tires.

had a new 2 1/4 exhaust put on, installed a header, and have a new intake on the way. thats pretty much it for mods.(uncle sam was generous this year)

im hoping to be able to pull the motor/trannie and replace the seals, belts etc. etc. and rewire the harness because the person who originally did the mpfi conversion did a half a*s job. plus some new shocks and springs will be on my list of "to get things."

im just thankful i got my car to pass emissions and finally am able to drive it.

90 CRX Si
Just finished stage 1 of my engine mods:

1) Replace my 195k A6 with a 70k A6 and new head with: Delta 272 cam, 1mm oversize tit valves, dual valve springs, milled head 40 thousandths, y8 HG. AEM CAI
2) DC Sports Header (will be on March 4)
3) Re-do exhaust with 2.25" and generic fart can with resonator
4) Zex Wet 55 shot maybe 75 shot tuned

Then I'm going with appearance:
1)1.5" drop
2)Wings West Kit, 1/4 panel rust fix, re-do stock paint
3)Buddy Club P1 15" in white

And for when the a6 blows from me being careless with n2o:
1)Save for CRVtec/Build up for CRVtec.
