use nothing more than GM Top Engine Cleaner... work OUTSANDING everytime.. if you have the fuel injector cleaner tool you run it through that and no fuel.. just the top engine cleaner going through the engine, it'll run very hard and then when its all out the car dies cuz there is no fuel getting to the injectors... let it sit for maybe 15-20 mins and then start it up and it might bog for 5-10 seconds but that means it was cleaning good.. and that now its getting all the rest out of the combustion chamber.


or if you wanna clean off the valves and pistons, run Top Engine Cleaner through a vacuum line that runs to the intake manifold.. and suck up a full bottle of Top Engine Cleaner and kill the car with it. Let the car sit for 2-3 HOURS and then start it up and it'll bog for ~20 seconds and blow WHITE smoke out the exhaust like crazy but then after that it'll run MUCH MUCH smoother.. i've done this 2 times to my accord and it makes the car run better.

Personally I throw in a bottle about every three tanks of fuel...it's like $3 so what the hell, that's like one less coffee and a donut.
And, because I live in a colder climate every tank I throw in some gas line antifreeze as soon as the temperatures start to dip below 0C until they go back above it again.

Hey...if it works great if it doesn't....what are u out?...about $40 bucks a year?

Yeah.... the money isn't really the issue...

It was more of a question of is how often is too often. I mean, I *could* run in it every tank, but what would that do to the engine and injectors?
