Check your grounds and battery connections for corrosion or loose connection.

There is the often overlooked ELD in the MAIN fuse panel on the passenger side shock tower. This device controls the output of the alternator on a CRX and certain Civics. You should always have one of 2 readings when the engine is running--12.7 volts normal and 14.1-14.4 during charging. The Helm gives a very good explanation as will some dealer techs. Seems the ELD also senses engine and other loads and this helps with gas mileage. BTW: the battery should read ~12.7 volts with the engine off.
