Default gotta love the o2 sensor questions..

k, my b16's header has two o2 sensors. im puttin on a b18's 4-1, which has 1 o2 bung on it. now what do i do?

can i hook them together? if so how? + to +, + to -?

would my best bet be get a new bung welded next to the other? is that going to effect it, i was told that each o2 reads a certain pair of exhaust ports. i doubt this b/c my current header has o2's next to each other at collector, but i think i may be throwin a o2 cel.

will running more wire cause a CEL?by this i mean my current header's o2's are up front, the b18s are down by the collector...will the lengthening of the wire to the underside of the car effect it?

thanks!

Most cars with 2 O2 sensors have one before the cat and one after it. So yes have a new bung welded on.

and no lengthening the wire wont affect it as long as u solder the connection or connect them well

1 before and 1 after? here are mine on the current header

can i do that at the collector on the new header? one next to the other? could the reason im throwin an o2 code be that they are next to each other like that? i believe on the stock mani they were also in this area...not 100% sure though

i cannot see why you have to o2 bungs unless on the header (especially one right after the other)...only reason i can fathom is one of the o2 sensors is for a wideband or a/f gauge

The second sensor must be further downstream-after the CAT-to do its job properly. Remember what it is for.
The leads can be made longer as long as you are reasonable about it and keep them away from the hot exhaust.

May we suggest a section of pipe as long as a CAT with a Bung where it would normally be near the end.
