Default my new beater.

well, i had originally decided to swap my tegs b18a1 into an 88 dx hatch that i picked up for cheap. i came across a guy who just got a dohc zc w/ si trannie swapped into his 91 dx hatch. he wanted to trade for my teg straight across, so i said what hell. it saves me alot of trouble.

anyways, i have a few questions. the person that did the swap used what seems to be the dpfi throttle cable, is the si cable shorter and will it work with the zc?

secondly, he also used a 91 pr4 ecu, and i have not heard of anyone using that particular ecu. has anyone used it, and with what results? my car bogs a little, it does better now that i changed the cat, but it still seems weak. im trying to get an si or 88-89 teg ecu, but cash is limited right now.

lastly, the aftermarket tach is off by 1000 rpms, anyone know how to adjust them? the 2 wires are cut in the back, and i hooked up my dads engine analyzer and the rpms are at 800 at idle, but the tach reads about 1800-2000. thanks in advance and sorry about the long post.

I've heard of people using the PR4, but you'll see better performance out of a 90-91 Si or even better yet an 88-89 teg ecu (pg7). Check ebay, you can usually find them there.

Not sure about the lengths of the throttle cable. I used my stock Si one and it works perfect.

Welcome to the world of ZC's!!! They're the best bang for the buck!!!

zc is a fun engine, for cheap power gain check all the valves and tighten them down to the tight end of spec and advance the snot out of the dizzy timing, the engine loves this.

If you're looking for a pg7 for about 50 bucks, let me know.... Congrats on the hatch!
