Heh,
I bought mine from the second owner for $3500. But I should preface that with the fact that it had 48600 on the odometer and this was in May of 1989.

i got my 89 hf from this punk kid who got it from his grand pa who kept it very nice and clean the kid i bought it from made the car stupid by cutting springs, put clear tails and colorful light bulbs, he kept the engine stock and added 17's so this made the car slower that it already was, he then proceeded to burn out the clutch and rip the whole exhaust system on a bumpy dirt road, the cars body was nice and so i bought it gave the car back some of its dignity by taking off all the stupid things and replacing it with stock including stock 88 si rims,(sold the 17 for 400 bucks) then i stripped it completely and swaped a whole si interior into the car and an 88 si motor and now i love my all black interior, all white exterior hf with si motor, the car only cost me 1200 the si cost me 200 and sold it for 150 with an hf motor and hf blue interior(not put together just thrown in there) the car has no rust at all and i love it.... this spring the 88 si motor comes out and the 91 Ls goes in (hopefully if God permits and everything goes right)

got my yellow 89 crx si w/ 117k miles from a 70 year old lady who lived 3 hours away. she posted it in the paper for $2500 (which i found on cars.com). she had owned the car for 12 years and the last clutch lasted 11! how's that for babied?
i drove down to see it with my friend, it had new tires, alternator, and clutch and was flawless... i was like holy crap!!! i told the lady that i got paid the next day but would only have $1500, she smiled and told me she would rather me have it for 1500 than for someone else for 2500, needless to say she cried when i drove away in it.

Ebay, its the only way to go... well not really, i got lucky... 95000 miles '91 CRX Si perfect condition totally stock 2000, KBB said 2750... I'm very happy
