Default Best Swap on a CRX HF

I blew the engine in my 89 crx hf and i wass wondering which would be the best swap, or the easiest to do on it

the easiest to do on it is the another stock hf engine.

you are already wired for mpfi, which is a big plus, but you will need to swap on some bigger steering knuckles to allow for larger axels for almost every engine that will fit. other than that there are many different engines you can use

do you have any plans for racing? budget? goals for speed?

I'm planning on spending bout 1,500$'s on the swap and get as much speed as i can..the bigger nuckles is like off from an si?????

i would go with a zc if youre budget is 1500.00. that'll leave some extra money for i/h/e or suspension goodies, etc.

thezcr.com and fourthgenhatch.com both have a lot of good writeups on this.

yeppers zc should work for you. you can use the nuckles/hubs off a civic dx, ex, si, or crx dx or si, just cant avoid the hf and std which are what youve got.

oh and while ur at it get the bigger brake rotors and calipers off a civic ex or si if u can. bigger brake swap means faster stopping.
