and since yours is an Si.. D16a6, if it runs strong.. keep it. for a cheap setup do a homemadeturbo set up like i'm doing.. well i've got some hook ups but i've spent probably ~$150 and i'm almost complete on my turbo kit. on my mini-me swap (a6 bottom/z6 head) but if you want. if you don't have the time to swap engines just do an easy set up like a turbo for now.. then move on to a B16 then boost it with most of the parts you have from the kit.
thats what i'm probably going to do, have fun with my mini-me turbo set up for a while.. then drop a b16a1 with low comp pistons and more aggressive cams, and valvetrain components, and then boost it!

keep in mind that with the b16, you need a motor mount kit and shift linkage, which is available in the link iirc.
all you need for the zc is the longblock, and the tranny if you want it

My number on the engin is d16a. How much horse does it have?
I'm looking at the zc right now for price but eventualy will get a b16.

you have 108 hp if i recall correctly:thinking: ...somebody verify this for me plz.
also, do you have to get any emissions testing or inspection?? you may want to pass that first before doing any swapping/modding. what state do you live in??

yes the d16a6 has 108 hp... ZC supposivly has 137hp, but i still think only 130 for the ZC.. B16a1 has 160hp, if your thinking of getting both, just get the B16a1. cheaper in the long run, the ZC engine, trans, ecu will cost you like 550 - 800 i've seen them go by.. thats almost 1/2 of the B16 cost.

or do what i'm doing... get a turbo put it on your d16a6 and have fun with that for a while... either sell the engine if it runs or blow the motor just so you can say you blew a motor... then get a B16 (save up this whole time for a motor) and then you have parts from that d16 to change over to the b16, turbo parts. just my idea
